A battery pack comprising a safety switch and a controller for selectively positioning battery cells in electrical communication with one lead. Wherein the controller is operably communicating with the safety switch to instruct the safety switch to electrically disconnect the leads from the battery cells when the controller detects one or more operating conditions.
