A fastening tab for an article comprising a substrate having a first end region with a first outermost end and opposite thereto a second end region with a second outermost end, and a middle region between the first and second regions, wherein the first end region comprises at least one fastening region comprising a fastening material attached to the substrate wherein the fastening material comprises a plurality of mechanical fastening elements for releasable fastening, the tab further comprises a cover tape covering at least a portion of the middle region and being connected to the middle region wherein the connection comprises at least one releasable, non-adhesive bond.
