The invention has an object to provide an endoscope holding apparatus that narrows a displacement region of a counterweight and ensures smooth operation, and in order to achieve the object, the endoscope holding apparatus of the invention includes: a base section 10； a support column 9； a first link 11 that rotates around a first linking portion 51 of the support column； a second link 12 that rotates around the first linking portion 51； a third link 13 that rotates around a second linking portion 52； a fourth link 14 that maintains the first and third links in parallel with each other, the fourth link being maintained in parallel with the second link and configured to be capable of holding an endoscope； a fifth link 15 linked to the first link, including a first counter weight 41, and vertically hanged； a second counterweight 42 linked to the second linking portion and vertically hanged； a sixth link 16 configured to rotate around a third linking portion 53, including one arm linked to the fifth link at a fourth linking portion, the one arm being maintained in parallel with the first link； and a seventh link 17 including a first end configured to rotate around a fifth linking portion 55 of a first protruding portion 11d and a second end configured to rotate around a sixth linking portion 56 of a second protruding portion 16n, wherein the first, fifth, sixth, and third linking portions are disposed at positions that form a parallelogram.
