The present invention describes [1,2,4]thiadiazine 1,1-dioxide compounds and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, which are useful in lowering serum uric acid in a patient in need thereof comprising administering to the patient a therapeutically or prophylactically effective amount of a [1,2,4]thiadiazine 1,1-dioxide compound.본 발명은 환자에게 치료적 또는 예방적 유효량의 [1,2,4]티아디아진 1,1-다이옥사이드 화합물을 투여하는 것을 포함하는 치료가 필요한 환자에서 혈청 요산을 낮추는데 유용한 [1,2,4]티아디아진 1,1-다이옥사이드 화합물 및 이의 약학적으로 허용가능한 염을 기술한다.
