Monoclonal antibodies of human or murine origin are described which are able to bind and neutralize cellular entry of HCV virus to various extent, and therefore are useful for passive immunization of healthy or HCV-infected mammals and for analytical methods in the identification of novel compounds capable of neutralizing HCV infection or as positive controls in methods for determining the neutralizing properties of novel compounds.Linvention concerne des anticorps monoclonaux dorigine humaine ou murine qui sont aptes à se lier et à neutraliser lentrée cellulaire du virus du VHC dans une certaine mesure, et par conséquent sont utiles pour limmunisation passive de mammifères sains ou infectés par le VHC et pour des procédés analytiques dans lidentification de nouveaux composés aptes à neutraliser une infection par le VHC ou en tant que témoins positifs dans des procédés de détermination des propriétés de neutralisation de nouveaux composés.
