PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction catheter capable of stably and continuously sucking a thrombus sucked into a suction lumen.SOLUTION: The suction catheter 10 includes: a section 11 having a first opening 11b at the distal end and constituting the suction lumen an inner tube 13 provided inside the section 11 along the longitudinal direction of the section 11 and a guide wire 16 for guiding the section 11. The suction opening of the suction lumen is inclined and opened, and a plurality of through holes 14 which are arranged in the longitudinal direction and through which the inside of the inner tube 13 and the suction lumen communicate with each other are formed on a side wall of the inner tube 13.
