The present invention relates to a mat type carbon heater buried in the ground, and a method for burying the same. According to the present invention, a heater configured to be buried in the ground such as a vinyl greenhouse, a pen, a ferment place, etc. which are required for thermal energy supply to provide the thermal energy is realized. Accordingly, the growth rate of plants, animals, etc., can be improved, and the high efficiency of thermal energy supply can be obtained due to low costs of initial equipment, and low power supply by the heater. In addition, environment-friendly thermal energy can be supplied without emitting noise and a toxic material, and the heater is advantageous of growing the plants and animals by far-infrared rays and anions emitted from the carbon heater. To this end, the mat type carbon heater comprises: a heating fabric manufactured by a coating material made of silicon as a main material in a flat shape on an outer surface of a heating mesh which is heated by receiving external power； a nonwoven fabric configured to be attached on both surfaces of the heating fabric and having functions of attaching with a protective sheet to be attached on an outer surface, protecting the heating fabric with respect to load from the outside, blocking electromagnetic waves generated from the heating fabric, and emitting heat generated from the heating fabric； and a protective sheet attached on an outer surface of the nonwoven fabric, buried in the ground, and then protecting the heating fabric and the nonwoven fabric with respect to the load from the outside.
