<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing onset by evaluating the onset risk of tumor or cancer in a dog. <；P>；SOLUTION: The method for evaluating the disease risk of a dog comprises measuring the body fat percentage in dogs, sorting out the dogs between &ge；35% and <；35% in body fat percentage, and evaluating the high onset risk of the tumor or cancer in the former case. A preventable treatment to perform dietary management to allow the body fat percentage to be less than 35% is provided to the dog evaluated to have a high risk.
