Disclosed herein is an ultrasonic lens emulsification and suction system that includes a hand-gripable body and an ultrasonic lens emulsification and suction needle extending from a distal portion of the body. The ultrasonic lens emulsification and suction system may also include an impeller pump that is supported by a hand-gripable body and configured to carry suction fluid from the surgical site. The impeller pump may include a suction motor and a flexible impeller that is coupled to the suction motor and is rotatably driven by the suction motor.
