A method of manufacturing a monolithic tablet, comprising the steps of: a) providing a melt-processed composition comprising at least one active agent and at least one thermoplastic binder b) loading a predetermined amount by weight of the treated melt composition into mold cavity c) compacting the treated melt composition for simultaneously deburring and shaping the composition to form monolithic tablets using the compression equipment and d) issuing from a monolithic tablet press formy.2.
