To provide a herbicidal aqueous suspension having decreased phytotoxicity to paddy rice plants generated by the absorption of a herbicidal component through the root stalk in the case of applying the suspension to a flooded paddy field and decreased deposition phytotoxicity caused by the deposition of a herbicidal component to the leaf sheath of a rice plant.
SOLUTION: The herbicidal aqueous suspension for direct spraying to a flooded paddy field includes a herbicidal component, urea, a surfactant and/or protective colloid agent and water and wherein the pH of the suspension is &ge 7.0 and the viscosity of the suspension is 300-800 mPa s at 20° C.
