The present invention relates to a method for preventing migraine using anti-CGRP receptor antibodies or binding fragments. In particular, a method of preventing or reducing the occurrence of migraine headache in a patient in need thereof, comprising administering an anti-CGRP receptor antibody or binding fragment to a patient according to a particular method of administration is disclosed.
