The instrument has a feeler (2) comprising bent palpation portions (9a) supported against top of a pillar (101) of a scapula (100) and immediately below a glenoid cavity of the scapula. A barrel guides a pin (50), and includes an axis located at a given distance of the bent palpation portion, where the distance corresponds to the distance separating lower edge of the implant and an axis of an insertion pipe of a scapula implant on the pin. The feeler is split to allow lateral disengagement of the feeler with respect to the pin.Selon l'invention, cet instrument (1) comprend : - un palpeur (2) comprenant au moins une portion recourbée de palpation (9a), adaptée à venir prendre appui contre le sommet du pilier (101) de l'omoplate (100), immédiatement en dessous de la cavité glénoïdale de l'omoplate (100) ； et - une pièce (3) formant un canon de guidage d'une broche (50) ou similaire, l'axe de ce canon étant situé à une distance déterminée de ladite portion recourbée de palpation (9a), correspondant à la distance qui sépare, sur l'implant d'omoplate à mettre en place, le bord inférieur de cet implant et l'axe d'un conduit d'engagement de l'implant d'omoplate sur ladite broche (50).
