A Novel device Cheek fleximeter is used for measure cheek flexibility. The device is placed on the outer aspect of the patient cheek with the two foam -lined heads in contact with both the cheeks in the resting position. The dial gauge is then set to zero5 reading. The patient is then asked to puff the cheeks up to the maximum extent possible. As the piston moves inside the hollow cylinder with the expansion of the cheek, the dial gauge gives out the reading directly in millimeters. The Fleximeter is a hand held instrument and is light weight to enable ease and accuracy of measurements.
