An eye tracking system is described herein that includes an image display configured to display an image of a surgical site to a user. The image display is configured to emit light in a first wavelength range. The system further includes a right eye tracker configured to emit light in a second wavelength range and to measure data relating to a first point of interest of the user's right eye. The system further includes a left eye tracker configured to emit light in a second wavelength range and to measure data regarding a second eye point of the user's left eye. The system further includes an optical assembly disposed between the image display and the user's right and left eyes. The optical assembly is configured such that the first wavelength and the second wavelength share at least a portion of the left optical path between the left eye and the image display and the right optical path between the right eye and the image display And to direct light in the first wavelength range and the second wavelength range so as to share at least a part of the second wavelength range.
