A method for treating premature ejaculation in patients in need thereof by means of a clostridial neurotoxin, comprising the step of locally administering clostridial neurotoxin to a patient, followed by treatment of premature ejaculation in a patient. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that the local administration of a therapeutic dose of clostridial neurotoxin is carried out transdermally, intramuscularly, subcutaneously, subdermally, intradermally or implantation, preferably injection. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that the botulinum neurotoxin is selected from the group consisting of type A, B, C, D, E, F and G botulinum neurotoxins, more preferably type A.4 botulinum neurotoxins.
