A method of manufacturing an open-cell flower foam, the method comprising creating a mixture by mixing at least one polymerisable constituent, at least one blowing agent, at least one surfactant, and at least one plant food in granular form and in which polymerisation of the polymerisable constituent is initiated such that the mixture generates a substantially solid open-cell flower foam. This provides a method of creating flower foam where the plant food is retained in the final foam. The plant food may have a granule size between 0.1mm 5mm. The plant food may be added after polymerization has been initiated but before polymerization is complete.
