Instrumentation consisting of handpieces for units for dentists, doctors or paramedics, such as dermatologists or the like, in which the central body or handpiece (10) can be connected to interchangeable multipurpose terminals (11) and in that the handpiece (10) consists of a rear part that houses a capsule (12) connected to the power cable and a front part (13) that houses the capsule (14) which allows attachment to the terminal (11) by means of a connector (15), these terminals (11) comprising a lens unit (16) which receives laser beams from an optic fibre(17) that passes through the body (10) entering the terminal (11) from the power cable connected to the capsule (12), the optic fibre(17) transmitting the laser signal whose source consists of a diode generating a polarised laser light beam, said terminals (11) being of various types and interchangeable according to the application.
