The present invention refers to a method of identifying objects in a subject's ear, comprising the following steps: introducing an optical electronic imaging unit and at least one light source into an ear canal of a subject's outer ear, wherein the electronic imaging unit exhibits at least one optical axis directed in a distal direction, especially directed at the eardrum of the subject's ear； using the electronic imaging unit (40) to capture at least one image； and determining color information or brightness and color information to identify objects shown in the at least one image by electronic means, in order to automatically identify the objects, especially the eardrum, wherein the electronic imaging unit comprises at least one color video camera, and wherein the method further comprises a step of determining the spectral composition of reflections of the eardrum, once the eardrum has been identified.La présente invention concerne un procédé d'identification d'objets dans l'oreille d'un sujet, comprenant les étapes suivantes: introduction d'une unité optique d'imagerie électronique et d'au moins une source de lumière dans le conduit auditif de l'oreille externe du sujet, l'unité d'imagerie électronique présentant au moins un axe optique orienté dans une direction distale, en particulier dirigée vers le tympan de l'oreille du sujet； saisie d'au moins une image à l'aide de l'unité d'imagerie électronique (40)； et détermination d'une information de couleur ou d'une information de luminosité et de couleur en vue de l'identification des objets représentés dans ladite au moins une image par des moyens électroniques, afin d'identifier automatiquement les objets, en particulier le tympan, l'unité d'imagerie électronique comprenant au moins une caméra vidéo couleur, et le procédé comprenant en outre une étape consistant à déterminer la composition spectrale des réflexions du tympan, une fois le tympan identifié.
