PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collagen production promoter having excellent collagen production-promoting activity, and to provide an anti-aging cosmetic exhibiting, for example, wrinkle-ameliorating effects by formulating the collagen production promoter to increase the production amount of the collagen by fibroblasts at the skin to keep the youthful skin.SOLUTION: The collagen production promoter comprises an ascorbic acid derivative of an L-ascorbic acid 2-phosphate represented by the formula, and having a branched alkyl group on the phosphate part, or a salt thereof. (In the formula, R1 and R2 are each hydrogen (H) or a branched 3-30C alkyl group with the proviso that the case of R1=R2=hydrogen (H) is excluded).
