PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pollination apparatus of a simple configuration that can efficiently pollinate plants without damaging the plants, and a method of pollinating plants.SOLUTION: A vibration output by an excitation part 12 applied to a flowerpot P held by a holding part 11. Since the vibration is transmitted to a strawberry planted in the flowerpot P, the entire strawberry shakes and consequently, the flowers of the strawberry also shake. Thus, there is no need to directly transmit the vibration to the strawberry even if a plurality of strawberry flowers are in bloom, and there is no need to shake the flowers individually.
