 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for washing food, having high bactericidal effect and discoloration suppressing effect after washing.
SOLUTION: The method for washing food includes washing food in the presence of amino acid of an isoelectric point exceeding 5 and ozone under a pH 3-5 condition. The amino acid is preferably glycine, and it is more preferable to use 1-10C fatty acid glyceride together.
