The present invention includes methods of preventing a ceramide-sensitive cancer comprising: identifying a subject that has been treated for the ceramide-sensitive cancer and providing to the subject an effective amount of a combination of a sphingosine kinase inhibitor and a ceramide inducing agent or a ceramide analog in an amount sufficient to prevent or reduce the recurrence of the ceramide-sensitive cancer.La présente invention concerne des méthodes de prévention dun cancer sensible aux céramides comprenant : lidentification dun sujet qui a été traité pour un cancer sensible aux céramides et lapport au sujet dune quantité efficace dune combinaison dun inhibiteur de sphingosine kinase et dun agent dinduction des céramides ou dun analogue de céramide en une quantité suffisante pour prévenir ou réduire la récurrence dudit cancer sensible aux céramides.
