An image processing apparatus acquires at least three radiation images corresponding to at least three types of energy obtained by irradiating a subject with radiation. Then, the image processing device is based on at least three radiation images and radiation attenuation characteristics corresponding to at least three types of energy, which are represented by a predetermined substance and a substance remaining after removing the predetermined substance from the subject.
