Mediante a determinação do volume de condução do meio que está sendo expelido quando um meio é expelido do sistema de tratamento e mediante o ajuste do volume determinado do meio que está sendo expelido em uma relação com uma capacidade nominal do sistema de tratamento, o fechamento de uma tubulação do produto no lado de saída subsequente a uma mudança do meio no lado de entrada pode ser executado independentemente no momento do desempenho da mudança do meio no lado de entrada. Isto reduz as perdas do produto e permite o tratamento de quantidades residuais remanescentes no sistema de tratamento.
