A skin-cleaning product containing particles of hydrogenated castor oil with an average size of 100-1000 microns as the active cleaning ingredient, plus surfactant, thickener and water. A skin-cleaning product (I) containing (a) 2-25 wt.% cleaning material in the form of particles with an average particle size of 100-1000 microns containing hydrogenated castor oil (HCO), (b) 2-30 wt.% surfactants, (c) 0.1-10 wt.% thickener, (d) water and optionally (e) other auxiliary substances. Independent claims are included for (1) cleaning material (a) as above for cosmetic preparations, especially shin-cleaning products (2) a method for the production of particles (a) by melting HCO (optionally with other waxes) and then dropping or spraying the melt .
