An anaesthesia delivery system having an integrated, extendable clinical centre and clinician/anaesthesia office that accommodates physical separation of clinical and clerical functions has a user interface alarm lighting feature with a lighting strip which is provided on a graphical user interface (GUI) to enable a user to determine whether an alarm is active and the priority level of the active alarm based on the location and colour of the lighting strip. An auxiliary common gas outlet (ACGO) in the form of a bi-stable switch 1002 may be rotated between an inactive state in which the port is down in a vertical downward facing position (Figure 10B) and an active state in which the port is up in a second horizontal forward facing position. A projection lighting feature may illuminate the port with a green pulsing light when in its active state.
