A method for non-invasive blood pressure measurement on a patients body part with a blood pressure measuring device includes: positioning the pressure collar on the body part setting the pressure collar such that it exerts pressure in the pulsatile region of the patient on the body part and recording the pulsation for the period of at least one breathing cycle of the patient in the form of pulsation signals.
