A renal therapy system is described. The system comprises: a filter (20, 30, 312); an arterial blood flowpath (44a) in fluid communication with the filter (20, 30, 312); a venous blood flowpath (44b) in fluid communication with the filter (20, 30, 312); an extracorporeal circuit (50) including the filter (20, 30, 312), the arterial blood flowpath (44a) and the venous blood flowpath (44b); a renal therapy fluid flowpath (314, 328) in fluid communication with the extracorporeal circuit; a plurality of valves (56); and first and second rotary peristaltic pumps (820, 830). The system (810) is configured to open and close the plurality of valves (56) so that the first rotary peristaltic pump (820) pumps renal therapy fluid through the renal therapy fluid flowpath for a number of first pump rotations and the second rotary peristaltic pump (830) pumps renal therapy fluid through the renal therapy fluid flowpath for a number of second pump rotations.
