The absorbent core in the rear region comprises a first region (311), and also a second region (312) and a third region (313) which are positioned outwards of the first region in the width direction. In the first region, a lengthwise slit (42) is provided which extends in the length direction of the absorptive article and which is configured such that the absorbent core in the rear region protrudes towards the wearer.
