In a method for sowing individual grains, there is installed in the seed-guide channel (3) between the seed dispenser (1) and seed-depositing point (2) a synchronising device (4) which accelerates or decelerates the grains as a periodic function of the frequency of the seed supply and of a specific phase relationship, so that time deviations at the seed dispenser (1) and on the way to the synchronising device (4) in relation to the desired passage time of the grain in the remaining grain-guide channel (3b) are largely compensated. There is no need for an intermediate storage or a position of rest of the grains on the way between the seed dispenser and depositing point. The depositing accuracy of the grains, particularly at high sowing speeds (e.g. 15 km/h), is consequently improved considerably. <IMAGE>
