The invention relates to a process for obtaining an aqueous extract of a microalga Dunaliella salina, in which said microalga is cultured in the absence of light in a culture medium comprising an extract of yeast, sugar and salt according to the steps according to which: a) a yeast extract is dissolved in water; b) adding glucose to the mixture obtained in a); c) adding Dead Sea salt; d) after complete solubilization of the salt in the mixture obtained in b), the culture medium thus obtained has a pH of between 5 and 8 in which the microalga Dunaliella salina is added; e) the mixture obtained in d) is kept under moderate stirring, in the dark and at room temperature, for a period of at least 12 hours, to allow the fermentation of the microalga Dunaliella salina; f) the mixture of fermented Dunaliella salina obtained in e) is ground and then filtered in order to separate the soluble and insoluble matters; g) an aqueous crude extract is recovered in which salt from the Dead Sea is added; h) sterilizing filtration is carried out with a porosity threshold of less than or equal to 0.2 μm; and i) an aqueous extract of fermented Dunaliella salina is obtained in which the pH is between 3.5 and 4.5. The invention also relates to an aqueous extract of Dunaliella salina capable of being obtained by the process according to the invention, a composition comprising such an extract according to the invention as well as the cosmetic use of a composition according to the invention for care of the skin, scalp and integuments.
