PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock mechanism which facilitates an operation for locking a turning wheel of a leg with wheel and is small in size in an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus.SOLUTION: A front leg 20 of an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus comprises: an upper leg part 28 which is fixed to an apparatus body 12 and protrudes frontward a lock unit 30 which is fixed to the lower side of the upper leg part 28 so as to protrude more frontward than the end of the upper leg part 28 and a wheel 24 which is held so as to be able to turn with respect to the lock unit 30. There is a step between the upper surface of the upper leg part 28 and the upper surface of the lock unit 30. The lock unit 30 comprises a lock pedal 32 for controlling locking of one or both of the rotation and turning of the wheel.
