The present invention relates to a method for preparing rice varieties having reduced amylose content and rice varieties having reduced amylose content prepared thereby, wherein expression of LOC_Os10g25130 genes present in genome DAN of rice is suppressed. According to the method for preparing rice varieties having reduced amylase content by suppressing expression of LOC_Os10g25130 genes provided by the present invention, rice varieties having reduced amylose content can be produced without introducing foreign genes, thereby ruling out a risk likely to be caused by introduction of foreign genes to be widely utilized in producing safer functional rice varieties.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016본 발명은 벼의 게놈 DNA에 존재하는 LOC_Os10g25130 유전자의 발현을 억제하여 아밀로스의 함량이 저하된 벼 종자를 생산하는 방법 및 상기 방법으로 제조되어 아밀로스의 함량이 저하된 벼 종자에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에서 제공하는 LOC_Os10g25130 유전자의 발현을 억제시켜서 아밀로스 함량이 저하된 벼의 생산방법을 이용하면, 외래 유전자를 도입하지 않고서도 아밀로스의 함량이 저하된 벼 종자를 생산할 수 있으므로, 외래 유전자의 도입에 따른 위험성을 배제할 수 있어, 보다 안전한 기능성 쌀 종자의 생산에 널리 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
