Hook members 23 used to adjust a waist-circumferential dimension of the article 1A are secured to the front waist region 5 in its lateral zones 8 and loop members 24 on which the hook members 23 are releasably anchored are secured to the front waist region 5 in its middle zone 9 so that the font waist region 5 is normally non-contractible in the waist-circumferential direction.
