PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging system capable of suppressing image blurring, distortion, and color mixture even though a series of processing between the exposure of an imaging element and read-out of electric charge is performed in each line at different timing.SOLUTION: An imaging system includes an illumination part 31 for emitting illumination light for illuminating a subject, a light reception part 244f in which pixels for generating an imaging signal are arrayed in a two-dimensional state, a read-out part 244g for sequentially reading imaging signals in each horizontal line, an illumination control part 32 for making the illumination part execute a series of processing which makes the illumination part emit the illumination light for a second period being equal to or more than one frame period after making the illumination part turn off the illumination light for a first period being one frame period, and an image processing part 402 for generating an image signal corresponding to the illumination light emitted for the second period by adding a first imaging signal during the first period and a second imaging signal during the second period read from the light reception part by the read-out part.
