PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional pigment which, besides a good skin feel, at the same time has good dispersibility in cosmetic formulations, chemical stability and photochemical stability, and a pure color.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an inorganic spherical pigment that is based on spherical particles having a particle diameter of 0.1 to 100 μm, surfaces of which are coated with BaSOand agglomerates selected from the group of ZrO, ZnO, AlO, TiO, FeO, FeOand FeOOH, or a mixture of these compounds, and are optionally coated with a further layer (second layer) comprising a metal oxide, lake or Berlin Blue.
