The present invention relates to a method for eliminating cancer cells, wherein said cells comprise a genomic rearrangement which leads either to the expression of a fusion gene not present in non-cancer cells, or to genomic amplifications or rearrangements which lead to the induction of the expression or to the overexpression of a cancer inducing gene, said method comprising:(a)cleaving the genome in at least two sites, said cleavage leading to either a deletion, an inversion, a frameshift, the cleavage without repair and/or an insertion in the genome of said cancer cells, and/or(b) cleaving the expression product of said fusion gene or cancer inducing gene in at least one site.La présente invention concerne un procédé d'élimination de cellules cancéreuses, lesdites cellules comprenant un réarrangement génomique qui conduit soit à l'expression d'un gène de fusion non présent dans les cellules non cancéreuses, soit à des amplifications ou des réarrangements génomiques qui conduisent à l'induction de l'expression ou à la surexpression d'un gène induisant un cancer, ledit procédé comprenant : (a) le clivage du génome en au moins deux sites, ledit clivage conduisant à une délétion, à une inversion, à un déphasage, au clivage sans réparation et/ou à une insertion dans le génome desdites cellules cancéreuses, et/ou (b) le clivage du produit d'expression dudit gène de fusion ou dudit gène induisant un cancer en au moins un site.
