PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hemostatic agent that can firmly coagulate blood without the use of a blood-derived material.SOLUTION: Provided is a polysaccharide hemostatic agent that is made from a polysaccharide such as hyaluronic acid composed of a plurality of constituent units as a raw material and in which an aldehyde group and a hydrophobic group are introduced into at least a part of the constituent units.
