A method for treating chronic respiratory disorders or other chronic complement-mediated disorders. The method comprises administering multiple doses of a complement inhibitor on average at least (i) when the plasma concentration of the complement inhibitor is reduced to 20% or less of the highest plasma concentration reached after the previous dose. After a week, (ii) at least two weeks after the plasma complement activation capacity has recovered to at least 50% of baseline after the previous administration, and (iii) at least twice the terminal plasma half-life of the complement inhibitor. Or (iv) at least three weeks apart, according to a dosing schedule in which the next dose is administered.
