PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent part of reaped crops from being tangled with a support arm of a reel type raking device, thus continuing harvesting operation for a long time, in a general-purpose combine harvester.SOLUTION: In the reaping device for a general-purpose combine harvester, a reaping pre-treatment device (13) includes: a horizontal reaping blade device (16) for horizontally reaping planted crops a raking reel (18) for raking the planted crops at an upper position of the horizontal reaping blade device (16) and a raking augar (20) which is pivoted between right and lest support frames (15) in the rear of the horizontal reaping blade device (16), and conveys the reaped crops, wherein, a vertical reaping blade device (5) for vertically severing the planted crops is provided at a lateral end position in a reaping area of the horizontal reaping blade device (16).
