PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guidewire, preventing cracks generated at the hydrophilic coating agent and having excellent lubricity by securing flexibility of a hydrophilic coating agent on its surface side even in the cross-linked condition.SOLUTION: This guidewire 1 includes: a core shaft 2 a coiled body 3 provided at the tip of the core shaft 2 a most distal portion 4 fixing a front end of the core shaft and a front end of the coiled body 3 and a hydrophilic coating agent 5 coating the coiled body 3 and the most distal portion 4, and cross-linked by a cross-linking agent 6.
