A method of automatically meshing a volume of an object in an ultrasound imaging system comprises the steps of: - acquiring image data of the object - selecting a first surface of interest comprising a first slice of the object in the image data - determining a main axis (AX) of the object - defining a set of planes (22) separated by a given distance, being not parallel with the main axis while being parallel one with the other - drawing a contour of the second slice of the object in at least two planes of the set of planes comprising a second slice of the object and - meshing the volume by stacking the contours along the main axis according to the given distance.Procédé de maillage automatique d’un volume d’un objet dans un système d’imagerie ultrasonique, le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à : - obtenir des données d’image de l’objet - sélectionner dans les données d’image une première surface digne d’intérêt comprenant une première tranche de l’objet - déterminer un axe principal (AX) de l’objet - définir un ensemble de plans (22) séparés d’une distance donnée, ces plans étant parallèles entre eux mais non parallèles à l’axe principal - tracer, dans au moins deux plans de l’ensemble de plans comprenant une deuxième tranche de l’objet, un contour de la deuxième tranche de l’objet et – mailler le volume en superposant les contours selon l’axe principal en fonction de la distance donnée.
