The invention relates to an autonomous agricultural carrier vehicle (10) for carrying at least one agricultural tool (24), having: a frame structure (20) and a chassis (12) attached to the frame structure (20), the chassis (12) having at least two steerable wheels and/or caterpillar tracks (14), the frame structure (20) being assigned at least one mounting device (22) for connection to the at least one agricultural tool (24); environmental sensors (40) for determining obstacles and/or elements present in the surroundings of the carrier vehicle (10); and a control unit (36) for controlling the carrier vehicle (10) and/or the at least one tool (24). The control unit (36) can be connected to a positioning system (38) which senses and/or emits a position to create an autonomous agricultural carrier vehicle (10) with which the impact force is not reduced, no additional tractor vehicle is needed for the tools (24), and no operator is absolutely necessary during work in the field, position-dependent work instructions for the carrier vehicle (10) preferably being stored in the control unit (36). The invention also relates to a method for controlling and/or regulating an autonomous carrier vehicle.
