Provided are combination therapies involving immunotherapies e.g., a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy, and the use of a kinase inhibitor, e.g., a BTK/lTK inhibitor, e.g. Ibrutinib, for treating subjects having cancers, such as certain B cell malignancies, and related methods, compositions, uses and articles of manufacture. The CAR T cell therapy includes cells that express recombinant receptors such as anti-CD19 CARS.
