PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute accurate positioning.SOLUTION: An X-ray CT apparatus has a cradle, a top board, a reconstruction part, a detection part, a reception part and a movement control part. The cradle irradiates a subject with X-rays and detects X-rays transmitting through the subject. The top board for placing the subject on it is inserted into an imaging field of the cradle. The reconstruction part reconstructs positioning image data from data on the X-rays detected by the cradle in positioning imaging. The detection part detects each of a plurality of sections of the subject included in the positioning image data. The reception part receives setting of an imaging section of the subject.
