CONSTITUTION: A composition for skin whitening contains 0.001-10 wt% of a retinoid derivative of chemical formula 1, as an active ingredient. A method for preparing the retinoid derivative comprises a step of reacting a compound of chemical formula 2 wherein Y is hydroxyl, with a compound of chemical formula 3 in a solvent under the presence of a condensing agent and an organic amine catalyst.본 발명은 레티노이드 유도체를 유효성분으로 함유하는 피부 미백용 화장료 조성물을 제공한다. 본 발명의 레티노이드 유도체는 티로시나제 활성 억제 효과 및 멜라닌 합성 억제 효과가 뛰어나, 피부 미백용 화장료 조성물로 유용하게 이용될 수 있다.
