PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly resect a vitreous body by suppressing the influence of the fluctuation of an atmospheric pressure under which an apparatus is used while maintaining a cutting speed of a vitreous body cutter in a high speed.SOLUTION: An apparatus for vitreous body surgery includes a vitreous cutter reciprocating a piston by repeating the feeding and discharging compressed air into and out of an air chamber in a cylinder and resecting the vitreous body by reciprocatingly moving an inner tube cutting edge and an outer tube cutting edge secured to the piston in the axial direction there of, a compressed air generating source generating the compressed air for feeding the compressed air to the air chamber, a solenoid valve switching the feeding of compressed air from the compressed air generating source and the discharging of the compressed air from the air chamber by opening and closing the valve, and further includes a pressure sensor arranged in the path from the compressed air generating source to the solenoid valve and detecting the pressure of the compressed air fed to the air chamber, and a control means controlling the opening and closing time of the solenoid valve based on the detecting result of the pressure sensor.COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT【課題】 硝子体カッターのカッティング速度の高速化を維持しつつ、装置が使用される大気圧の変動の影響を抑え、硝子体の切除を好適に行う。【解決手段】 シリンダ内の空気室への圧縮空気の供給と排気を繰り返すことによりピストンを往復移動させ,ピストンに取り付けられた内筒刃を外筒刃に対してその軸方向に往復移動させて硝子体を切除する硝子体カッターと、空気室へ圧縮空気を供給する圧縮空気を発生する圧縮空気発生源と、弁の開閉により圧縮空気発生源からの圧縮空気の供給と空気室からの圧縮空気の排気とを切換える電磁弁と、を備える硝子体手術装置で、圧縮空気発生源から電磁弁の経路に配置され,前記空気室に供給される圧縮空気の圧力を検知する圧力センサと、圧力センサの検知結果に基づいて前記電磁弁の開閉時間を制御する制御手段と、を備える。【選択図】 図1
