PURPOSE: An outside reinforcement type artificial plant-island is provided to prevent sand inflow and flooding along with waste by surrounding the outer tube higher than the main body of the artificial plant-island. CONSTITUTION: An outside reinforcement type artificial plant-island comprises an artificial plant-island main body(10), an outside reinforcing frame(20), rope type fastening member and a secondary buoyant material(40). The artificial plant-island main body is installed on water with plant. The outside reinforcing frame is combined in order to surround the outside of the artificial plant-island main body. The outside reinforcing frame is installed higher than the artificial plant-island main body. The supplementary buoyant material is installed between the artificial plant-island main body and outside reinforcing frame. The rope type fastening member unites the outside reinforcing frame and artificial plant-island main body. The outside reinforcing frame comprises a joint(21) and a fence.수생식물을 식재한 상태로 수면 위에 부유한 상태로 설치되는 인공식물섬 본체； 인공식물섬 본체의 외곽을 감싸도록 결합되며, 인공식물섬 본체보다 높게 설치되는 외부 보강틀과； 인공식물섬 본체와 외부 보강틀 사이에 설치되는 보조 부력부재； 및 외부 보강틀과 상기 인공식물섬 본체를 결속시키는 로프형의 결속부재；를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 외부 보강형 인공식물섬이 개시되며, 개시된 외부 보강형 인공식물섬에 따르면, 홍수, 태풍 등의 악천후는 물론, 파랑, 수류에 대해서는 내구성이 향상되며, 인공식물섬의 외곽이 물에 침수되거나, 쓰레기나 모래 등이 쌓이는 것을 방지할 수 있으며, 식생기반재의 유출을 효과적으로 차단할 수 있다.
