PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that can measure grip strength more accurately.SOLUTION: First of all, a peripheral length of a measurement region in the arm of the side for measuring grip strength of a subject (measurement region is the place where a below-elbow flexor group exists, more specifically, is the thickest portion lower from an elbow of the arm) is measured by a tape measure while the subject is weakening the arm. This is the first measurement. Subsequently, the peripheral length of the measurement region of the subject is measured while the subject generates maximum grip strength in the hand of the arm. This is the second measurement.
